What do you Think: Do you miss Halo 2?

I recently went back in time, and watched Halo 2 videos on YouTube. While watching a hearing those sweet battle rifles it brought back memories of a simple time. Halo 2 I have to say was the BEST game in the series so far. There where no armor ability’s, it was just plain fun. I was 9 or 10 when me and my brother would play Halo 2 for hours. I would only get 1 kill, and then die 100s of times. I thought to my self that this game was the best game ever. I could not stop playing it, and I eventually became pretty good. Halo 2 was where I truly found my love for Halo, and for the Xbox. Looking back the maps for Halo 2 were amazing; beaver creek, ascension, burial mounds, headlong, and waterworks are just some examples of the best maps made in the Halo series. Sadly 2 years ago Microsoft pulled the plug on Halo 2, and now Halo 2 will sleep forever. I’ll never forget Halo 2, I’ll always remember waking up on a summer morning, and playing Halo 2 for hours and hours.

What do you Think: Halo 4 and 343

With a look at a teaser trailer and a concept art trailer for Halo 4, we have not learned much about the game. All we know is Master Chief got upgraded armor, and that the forerunners are the possible new enemies. With the terminals telling a story in Halo: Anniversary it provided great information, and what we may expect in Halo 4.

What do you Think: Halo Fest

Halo Fest just ended yesterday, and we have the full recaps for day 1, and day 2/3. 343 packed in some great news about Halo 4, Halo: Anniversary, and gave us a look into the future of Halo. But my main question is; was Halo Fest what you expected? Did you think 343 did a good job? If you ask me, I thought they did a wonderful job! I hope we will see another Halo Fest in the future.

What do you Think: The old Halo or the New

Before our eyes Halo has changed over the years. Like every game your going to see changes, but are these changes good?

If you remember back to Halo 3: ODST we saw the changes begin, I’m not talking about new weapons or anything like that. With ODST we got to play a new character, and move on from Master Chief. To me, and I’m pretty sure other fans this was a big change. The icon of Halo is Master Chief, without Master Chief Halo will be another boring game, but that’s my opinion. Once again we had a huge change in Halo: Reach. Halo: Reach once again gave us another character to play. But this time Halo: Reach really did change Halo, which I call the “new” Halo.

If you go back to Halo 3 you have the old ranking system, no bloom from firing weapons, and NO armor abilities. The good old Halo. I’m sad to say this, but Halo: Reach has lost my attention. I just really don’t know why, maybe I don’t like change. Well, this post is “What do you Think” not what this writer thinks, so voice opinion on this topic down below!

What do you Think: Noble Map Pack or Defiant Map Pack?

With the realese of the new map pack on March 15th, we got a question for you. The Noble Map Pack or the Defiant Map Pack, which did you like better? You got to see some great trailers of the Defiant Map Pack, and most of us played  the Noble Map Pack. After reading many comments about the upcomg map pack, people are saying: “One word for this map pack and 343 Studios: Amazing!.” Many Halo fans are getting back into the series, just because of the new maps, and the Halo series going into the hands of 343 Studios. Do you agree with the comment above, or do you like the Noble Map Pack which was created by Bungie.

What do you Think: What’s Next for Halo Next Year

Well we are about 8 days from 2011, and only 2 days until Christmas, but what does 2011 hold for Halo?

We know Bungie is done with making any other Halo game. In 2010 we got the release of Halo: Reach, announce that Waypoint is taking over Halo Wars, and much more news. Who knows what we will see maybe the announcing of the Halo Movie, Next Halo game, or even Bungie’s new game. These are all gueses, but I feel like we will get a look into something new for Halo.

What do you Think: Halo to Halo: Reach

Tell us what Halo game you have loved the most made by Bungie. This is an updated version of “What do you Think: Halo to Halo 3: ODST.”

Halo: Combat Evolved:

This game started off one of the best series in the world. Halo Combat Evolved showed of how badass Master Chief really was. Halo Combat evolved later, won the Game of the Year for 2002. With IGN saying “Microsoft created the Xbox so we could have games like Halo.” That is a really bold statement for Halo, and opened up eye’s to many people.

Halo 2:

Halo 2 opened up the Multiplayer for the Halo series. With millions of gamers playing Halo 2 everyday on Multiplayer. Halo 2′s campaign was different from the other Halo games. In Halo 2 you got to play as arbiter, and fight with the convent. Many people did not like the option fighting as the Arbiter, (like me) so maybe that’s why you don’t see that in the other Halo games. Halo 2 opened up the Multiplayer, and made XBox Live what it is today.

Halo 3:

The graphics in the game, and how much work Bungie put into Halo 3 is unbelievable. Halo 3 sold 2.63 million copies in just five days. That’s a lot of games. Halo 3′s  campaign was also different in a way. In the campaign you team up with the Elites, and you fight side by side with them. Also the Arbiter is fighting with you though out the game. Halo 3 has one of the best multiplayer out there today. Halo 3 broke records, but Bungie said Halo 3 was their last game, or was that just a lie.

Halo 3: ODST:

Halo 3: ODST made a BIG change in the Halo series. The big change was that you did not play as Master Chief, but as a ODST (Orbital Drop Shock Troopers) named “Rookie”. There’s no multiplayer for the game, but there’s a new mode called Firefight (kinda like the Horde mode in Gears of War 2.) Halo 3: ODST made gamers look at Halo in a different way.

Just like Halo 3: ODST you don’t play as Master Chief, but you play as Noble Six from the Noble team. The multiplayer for Reach is out of this world, and bungie put some of our favorite features back into Reach. Such as: Firefight, Forge, and Theater. You and Noble team fight through your way, and try to safe the planet Reach from being destroyed by the convent.  Reach is the final Halo game Bungie will making, but don’t worry we got a new home for the Halo series; 343 industries.

This Weeks Poll Question:

What is your favorite Halo game? Is it Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, or Halo: Reach.

What do you Think: Halo: Reach Maps

Halo Reach Revenant

With Halo: Reach coming in less than a month! We have a little special “What do you Think” today. Today we are going to talk about the new Halo: Reach Multiplayer maps. Well about 3 maps have been reviled in the past week or two. The maps so far are: Reflection (remake of Ivory Tower in Halo 2), Zealot (remake of Midship in Halo 2), and Spire. Looking at Halo 3 Maps and Halo: Reach upcoming maps, it’s a huge difference. Looks like Halo: Reach’s maps have better art, and has a lot of work put into them. Down in the video below you can see the maps for your self. After watching the video, look past the video to vote.
